Today, on January 13th, 2022 indie pop-rocker Josh Gluck has dropped his latest single, "Down No More." The song has a light and airy feeling throughout the verses before things pick up a bit during the choruses.
The multi-instrumentalist's influences include artists like John Mayer and Coldplay, and both are evident on this track. This also reminded me a lot of the work that Zachary William Dess has done under the name Two Feet - heavy emphasis on guitar with passionate vocals combining to create music that really makes you feel something.
About the song, Gluck said, "'Down No More' is an early release off of the debut EP which revolves around the idea that home is a feeling [not a place]. This single was inspired by learning the importance of surrounding myself with people who lift me up.
There are those people who, when you’re around them, you feel like you can be anything - especially yourself. I had been in situations where I didn’t fully feel like this and realized I only wanted to be around people who push me to be the best version of myself.
[This song is about] the type of people who accept you for who you are and love you for it. The people who feel like home."
